The best way to get motivation, cultivate ideas and boost drive is to work closely with a mentor that has experienced and lived how and where you want to get to. However, finding the right mentor isn’t easy, and not in everyone’s reach right now.
So how can you learn from others?
The power of the internet, social media and platforms like Amazon gives you access to more knowledge and experts than ever before. I have used these mediums to find key people in the spaces I want to be, and follow their moves.
Why should you find experts to follow?
There is no point re-inventing the wheel. There are lots of experts that have been through the challenges your about to face in business. You can learn from their mistakes, victories and success. If your stuck, hit a plateau or want to grow then get searching for likeminded professionals.
Where can I find an online mentor or industry expert to follow?
Easy, get onto Twitter, LinkedIn or the social media platform most relevant to your industry/audience. You will soon come across the experts that are giving out advice, have large followings and will often have books/podcasts available. Speak to their audience and see what value they are getting from them. Just ask!
